Primary 1 (ages 3-6)
This class will serve as an introduction to a structured dance class. Students will study movement and song to learn choreography as well as a solid foundation for a positive learning environment. Our Primary 1 curriculum concentrates on focus coordination, and musicality which are valuable skills needed for academic/ athletic achievement.
 
Primary 2 (ages 5-8)
This class challenges and expands on the skills mastered in the COAR Primary 1 class by applying the fundamentals of body conditioning with more advanced choreographic concepts based on Modern, Ballet, and African Dance Techniques (schedule permitting). Primary 2 students will complete this class with a clear understanding of class etiquette, presenting a structured choreographed piece and an introduction to learning dance technique.
  
COAR 1A (ages 8-12)
COAR 1A is appropriate for young PE students who have completed the requirements of the Primary 1 and 2 classes. COAR 1A begins to fuse the primary curriculum concepts with regimented training. Stamina, performance quality, and stage presence are incorporated into the skills learned to help the students develop an understanding of professional training expectations. COAR 1A students will study Ballet, Modern, and African dance techniques (schedule permitting).
  
COAR 2A (ages 12 - 15)
This class is for students who have mastered the requirements of the Primary 1,2 and 1A classes for students who are ready to engage in a faster paced learning environment. Students will study Ballet, Modern, and African dance techniques as well as participate in health, audition prep, and guest artist workshops.
  
COAR 3A (ages 15 - 18)
The COAR 3A class is designed for the pre-teen/teen student prepared to study dance on a more advanced level. Students will be introduced to professional level training in Modern, Ballet, and African Dance Techniques, and will qualify to participate in audition prep workshops for a concentrated guidance toward their future artistic/academic goals.
